Destiny Udogie is available for Tottenham's Carabao Cup third round tie against Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night (8pm UK), but Sandro Tonali and Pedro Porro will both miss the clash.

Udogie had sat out Saturday's goalless draw against Everton after starting in the Premier League match at Forest on 5 September. Tonali, who has started all four Premier League fixtures this season, was left out of the squad for the Carabao Cup second round win against Charlton and again misses out on Tuesday. Porro was absent from the matchday squad at the weekend and remains sidelined.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way on Monday, head coach Roberto De Zerbi confirmed the situation: "Kulusevski is still not available, Pedro Porro is not available. Udogie - yes. Richarlison, you already know - nothing has changed for the Carabao Cup or Premier League, the situation is the same."

De Zerbi had indicated after Saturday's draw that he planned to use his other available players at Anfield. On Monday he elaborated, noting that Lucas Bergvall and Mathys Tel would not fall under that category, and that squad rotation would focus on players with limited minutes so far.

The Tottenham manager also addressed his centre-back options, highlighting the depth behind first-choice pair Jan Paul van Hecke and Micky van de Ven. "Senesi, Ben Davies and Tosin are not less than van de Ven, and van Hecke, they are different, maybe. Now JP and van de Ven know better the connection, the style of play, but the level of the players is very, very close," De Zerbi said.
