Dewsbury-Hall: Everton must turn draws into wins

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has praised Everton's unbeaten start to the 2026/27 season but insists the club must convert draws into victories to push further up the Premier League table.

The Toffees drew 2-2 at Hull City on Sunday, extending their unbeaten run to eight games across all competitions. Dewsbury-Hall scored Everton's first goal and set up a second for Thierno Barry.

"It's hard to go unbeaten for any team in the Premier League. The fact we've done it so far is pleasing, but we want to turn those draws into wins," Dewsbury-Hall told evertontv. "If we do, we're right up there in the table. We want to build on last year. We've got that mentality to go again."

Everton currently sit fifth in the Premier League with 10 points from six league matches, recording two wins and four draws.

Dewsbury-Hall pointed to Chelsea next week as the next significant challenge. "It comes to a big test against Chelsea next week and we'll see if we can continue it," he said. "It's two teams who want to do well this year. It's going to be a good test."
