Arsenal secured a 3-0 victory over Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday, with three second-half goals in the space of six minutes settling the contest at Emirates Stadium.

Jurrien Timber broke the deadlock on 64 minutes, controlling the ball inside the box before lifting a composed finish over goalkeeper Berke Ozer. Ebere Eze doubled the lead just three minutes later, converting after a swift counter-attack involving Martin Odegaard and Bruno Guimaraes.

Bukayo Saka, introduced from the bench alongside Odegaard and Kai Havertz, completed the scoring on 71 minutes with a calm side-footed finish into the bottom corner. The goal was his 19th in European competition for Arsenal, moving him past everyone in the club's history except Thierry Henry.

The win is Arsenal's second from two matches in this season's Champions League league phase and extends their unbeaten run in the competition to 14 successive victories, edging them closer to Bayern Munich's record of 17 — Arsenal's opponents in Munich next week.

The first half had been largely uneventful, with an Ayase Ueda finish for Lille ruled out for offside following a VAR review providing the only real moment of note. Arsenal grew steadily more dominant after the restart before the scoreboard finally reflected their control.

Goalkeeper David Raya kept a clean sheet, equalling David Seaman's Arsenal record of 38 Champions League appearances. The result leaves Arsenal second in the Premier League table with 15 points from six games ahead of Sunday's trip to Nottingham Forest.
