Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Egypt international forward Omar Marmoush on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.

"It feels amazing to be here. I'm so excited to get started with the team and I can't wait to meet the fans," Marmoush said. "Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me."

Head Coach Roberto De Zerbi described the 26-year-old as exactly the type of player he wants at the club. "He has incredible attacking quality but what I also love is his desire to improve and to win. He brings pace, intelligence and a real threat in front of goal," De Zerbi said.

Sporting Director Johan Lange added that Marmoush's arrival represents a statement of intent. "He has demonstrated that he can perform at the highest level, and we believe he can play a major role in what we want to achieve over the coming years."

Marmoush began his career at Wadi Degla in Cairo, making his professional debut at 17 in July 2016, before moving to VfL Wolfsburg the following year. A loan spell at VfB Stuttgart in 2021/22 marked his breakthrough in European football, where he won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for September 2021 and again in March 2022.

After returning to Wolfsburg, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt in May 2023, scoring 37 goals and registering 20 assists in 67 appearances across two seasons, while also claiming the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for September and November 2024.

Marmoush moved to Manchester City in January 2025, scoring a hat-trick against Newcastle United the following month in a 4-0 win. He finished his debut season at City with 16 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions, winning the Premier League Goal of the Season award for a strike against Bournemouth in May 2025, and collecting both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

At international level, Marmoush has earned 55 caps and scored 11 goals for Egypt, helping his country reach the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final and appearing at the World Cup for the first time this summer.
