Everton manager David Moyes said his side are making progress despite a goalless draw at Tottenham Hotspur that extended their unbeaten start to the season.
"We're improving – it might not always be noticeable in all the games, but we're improving with the football we're trying to play and we want to get better," Moyes said after the match.
Moyes singled out left-back Vitalii Mykolenko for special praise and pointed to a demanding schedule ahead, with home fixtures against Wolves in the Carabao Cup and Ipswich Town in the Premier League coming up in what he described as a "big week" for the club.
The 0-0 result at Spurs kept Everton's unbeaten run intact at the start of the campaign.
