Mikey Moore scored twice as Tottenham Hotspur defeated TSG Hoffenheim 3-0 in a pre-season friendly at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, maintaining their unbeaten record this summer.
Richarlison opened the scoring 10 minutes before half-time, converting a Robertson cross assisted by a Tonali run through midfield. Moore then added two second-half goals to seal a comfortable win in front of 54,345 spectators in north London.
The match marked the first appearance at the stadium for several summer arrivals. Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke and Sandro Tonali all made their first appearances as Spurs players in N17.
Moore's opener came in the 59th minute after Mathys Tel drove low into the box, with the forward poking home from close range. His second arrived in the 80th minute following another Tel assist, Moore finishing into the bottom corner with a composed effort.
Tel was a consistent threat throughout the second half, producing two saves from Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann before turning provider for both of Moore's goals. Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky made several saves of note to preserve the clean sheet.
Hoffenheim changed all 10 outfield players at half-time and created chances through Patrick Wimmer and Mats Rots early in the second period, but could not find a way past Kinsky. The two sides are scheduled to meet again on Sunday at Hotspur Way.
Spurs line-up (4-3-3): Kinsky; Gray (c), van Hecke, Senesi, Robertson; Bergvall, Tonali, Gallagher; Moore, Richarlison, Tel. Goals: Richarlison 35, Moore 59, 80.
