Manchester City defender Max Alleyne has joined Championship side Burnley on a season-long loan, as the Clarets push for a return to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old featured in City's pre-season tour of Asia before the loan move to Turf Moor was confirmed ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Alleyne spent the 2025/26 season on a similar loan arrangement at Watford, making 17 appearances for the Hornets and impressing at Vicarage Road before being recalled to City in January 2026.

He was brought back to the club amid a defensive injury crisis, making his senior debut against Brighton. He scored his first senior goal in a 10-1 FA Cup win over Exeter City and made seven appearances in total before City's defensive options recovered.

Alleyne will now look to build on that experience with Burnley as the Championship club bid to secure promotion back to the top flight.
