Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from Belgian top-flight club KRC Genk, the club confirmed on September 1.
Brughmans has signed a long-term contract at Liverpool's AXA Training Centre but will return to Genk on loan for the entirety of the 2026-27 season.
The Belgian teenager made his senior debut for Genk in April 2026 after 32 appearances for their reserve side, going on to make 10 further league starts before the end of last campaign. He has continued as first choice this season, starting all four of Genk's matches so far.
Brughmans captained Belgium at both the U17 European Championship and U17 World Cup in 2025 and currently serves as skipper of the national U19 squad.
