Erling Haaland marked his 200th appearance for Manchester City at the start of his fifth season at the Etihad Stadium, having accumulated a series of milestone moments since arriving in English football in 2022.
Haaland's debut came in the Community Shield against Liverpool at Leicester's King Power Stadium, a 3-1 defeat in which he missed a late chance and was jeered by the opposing supporters. Julian Alvarez scored City's only goal on his own debut that day.
The 50th game proved far more memorable. City beat Chelsea 1-0 on 21 May 2023 to lift a fifth Premier League title under Pep Guardiola, with Haaland having broken the individual season scoring record in the competition with 36 league goals. FA Cup and Champions League triumphs followed in the same campaign.
For his 100th appearance, Haaland again faced Chelsea — this time a 2-0 away win on 18 August 2024 that opened the 2024/25 Premier League season. He scored by rolling his marker and chipping the goalkeeper, though the campaign did not match expectations overall. He still finished with 34 goals in 48 games.
The 150th milestone arrived on 14 September 2025 in a 3-0 derby victory over Manchester United at the Etihad, in which Haaland scored twice. His first came by dinking the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper after a run in behind; his second arrived after he had half the pitch to himself.
