Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis have emerged as the most-selected new Arsenal players in Fantasy Premier League ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season opener against Coventry City on Friday.

Guimaraes, priced at £7.0m, has been picked by 9.4% of FPL managers following his move from Newcastle United. The Brazilian midfielder recorded a personal-best 154 points in 2025/26, scoring nine goals and adding seven assists across 29 league appearances.

The 29-year-old surpassed the 100-point threshold in each of his last four seasons at Newcastle, where he also contributed defensive bonuses and took penalty duties. His new FPL price has been described as appealing given that output, though his ownership — and therefore price — is expected to rise if he starts well at Arsenal.

Tzolis, listed as a midfielder in FPL at £6.5m, has been included in 12% of squads. The Greek winger joined from Club Brugge and registered two assists in Arsenal's Community Shield victory over Manchester City, setting up goals for Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.

Tzolis recorded 40 goals and assists in Belgium last season, leading Europe's top 10 leagues in combined goal contributions. He previously appeared in the Premier League with Norwich City in 2021/22, making 14 appearances before the Canaries were relegated.

Among other Arsenal options, Bukayo Saka (£9.5m) is owned by 10% of managers, while Declan Rice (£7.5m) has been selected by over 20% after posting 184 points last term. Gabriel (£8.0m) is one of only three defenders in FPL history to carry that price tag, having broken the 200-point barrier in 2025/26 alongside Erling Haaland and Bruno Fernandes.

Goalkeeper David Raya (£6.0m) has been picked by a third of all managers following Arsenal's Golden Glove campaign. Riccardo Calafiori (£5.5m) is included in over 24% of squads after scoring in the first minute of the Community Shield.

The Gameweek 1 deadline falls at 6:30pm UK time on Friday, August 21, 90 minutes before Arsenal host Coventry City at Emirates Stadium.
