Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi confirmed on Friday that Dejan Kulusevski remains in individual rehabilitation and has not yet rejoined the group ahead of the club's match against Brentford.

The Swedish forward has been sidelined with a knee injury since April 2024, making his absence one of the longest ongoing fitness concerns at the club.

"He's working, not with the group, but with the individual coach," De Zerbi said. "I'm observing a lot because, first of all, he suffered too much, and as a human situation, it's been tough for him, and every one of us."

De Zerbi was clear about the impact Kulusevski can have once fit. "We are close with him for this period, and then he's a different player, he's a special player, if he's fit and available, he's a different player, like Xavi Simons."

The 26-year-old's return would represent a significant boost for Tottenham, who have been active in the transfer market this summer as De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad.
