Chelsea Women claimed their first Women's Super League win of the season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

The result came after Chelsea had been held to a 1-1 draw in their WSL campaign opener, with the team responding emphatically on the road in Manchester.

Sjoeke Nusken and Keira Walsh scored in the first half to put Chelsea firmly in control, with Walsh netting on her 50th appearance for the club.

Lauren James, Ellie Carpenter and Lucy Bronze all added goals after the hour mark to complete the rout, with Chelsea also keeping a clean sheet.

Manager Sonia Bompastor used the occasion to hand WSL debuts to summer signings Giulia Dragoni and Nelly Las, both introduced from the bench.
