Chelsea have signed Kazakhstan international Dastan Satpayev from FC Kairat on a contract until 2033, with the forward immediately heading to Championship club Burnley on loan for the 2026/27 season.

The 17-year-old featured in four matches during Chelsea's summer tour of Australia and Asia and scored against Western Sydney Wanderers, giving the club an early look at the forward before his loan move to Turf Moor.

Satpayev came through the Kairat academy and was handed his first-team debut at the age of 15 in May 2024. He went on to make 58 appearances for the Kazakh club, including UEFA Champions League outings, and scored 26 goals.

His performances earned him a senior international call-up in March 2025, when he became Kazakhstan's youngest ever debutant at 16 years, seven months and ten days. He has since made eight appearances for his country.

Satpayev added another record in November 2025, scoring in a 1-1 draw against Belgium to become the youngest player — 17 years, three months and three days — to score for Kazakhstan.
