Chelsea have signed teenage centre-back Alfie Osborne from Scottish club Hearts, with the 17-year-old penning a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2030.

Osborne joins after a standout season with Hearts, during which he won both the B team's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards for 2025/26.

The defender switched from midfield to centre-back last season and captained Hearts' Under-18s side to victory in the Scottish FA Youth Cup final. He also accumulated 28 appearances for Hearts B in the Lowland Football League, the fifth tier of senior football in Scotland.

Osborne is a Scotland youth international and most recently captained his country in qualifying for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
