Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has backed new signings Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson to bring experience and a winning mentality to the club, while also praising Mykhailo Mudryk's work rate as the Ukrainian winger returns from his doping ban.

Tosin is currently travelling with Chelsea's pre-season tour, which has taken in fixtures in Australia and Hong Kong, with back-to-back games against AC Milan in Indonesia and Johor Darul Ta'zim in Malaysia ahead this weekend.

Welbeck has joined the squad on tour, and Tosin said he has known the striker for years through their shared Manchester roots. 'I've known Welbs for a minute now, known him for a long time, just growing up in Manchester, so it's nice to have him with us,' Tosin said. 'I think we've all seen that he scores goals. He's a good striker at the end of the day and he's here to help, and the way for him to help is by scoring goals. I'm sure he'll do that.'

Henderson, another experienced England international, will link up with the squad after his involvement in this summer's FIFA World Cup. Tosin said both veterans add immediate value beyond their playing ability. 'They bring pure experience,' he said. 'At the same time, they're winners, so they're bringing that winning mentality to the club and hopefully we'll continue that winning.'

Mudryk has also rejoined the squad mid-tour following the lifting of his ban, having come off the bench against Juventus on Wednesday. Tosin said the 25-year-old's dedication means he is further along in his recovery than many would anticipate. 'Misha's my guy. I've kept in contact with him throughout, so it's really nice to have him back,' Tosin said. 'His work rate is unbelievable, so no doubt he's been working throughout this whole time. His work rate is phenomenal, so I'm not surprised at all.'

Tosin, Mudryk, and Welbeck are all expected to be involved in Chelsea's weekend fixtures against AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta'zim.
