Frank Lampard earned more international caps as a Chelsea player than any other in the club's history, accumulating 102 of his 104 England appearances while at Stamford Bridge. The milestone comes into focus as the 2026 World Cup concludes this weekend.
Lampard played in four major tournaments as a Blue, most notably at Euro 2004, where he scored three goals and was named in the Best XI. His international career is also remembered for a goal against Germany at the 2010 World Cup that crossed the line but was not awarded, an incident that contributed to the eventual introduction of goal-line technology.
Petr Cech is second on the list, earning 91 of his 124 career caps for the Czech Republic while at Chelsea between 2004 and 2015. He captained his country on numerous occasions and was named Czech Footballer of the Year a record nine times.
Branislav Ivanovic earned 83 caps for Serbia during his nine years at the club, splitting time between right-back and centre-back. He retired from international football as Serbia's all-time appearance record holder with 105 caps and is now third on that list.
John Terry earned all 78 of his England caps as a Chelsea player, captaining the Three Lions at two European Championships and two World Cups. He was named in the World Cup Team of the Tournament in 2006.
Three players — Marcel Desailly, Didier Drogba, and Eden Hazard — each accrued 74 caps during their time at the club. Drogba scored 46 of his 65 international goals as a Blue, the highest figure in Chelsea's history. Desailly won the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000 with France and later served as national team captain. Hazard captained Belgium to third place at the 2018 World Cup, winning the Silver Ball award.
John Mikel Obi earned 73 of his 89 Nigeria caps at Chelsea, helping the Super Eagles win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. Willian accumulated 68 Brazil caps across his seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, appearing at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups and playing a role in Brazil's 2019 Copa America triumph.
Thibaut Courtois rounds out the top ten with 65 Belgium caps earned as a Blue. He won the Golden Glove at the 2018 World Cup in Russia before leaving for Real Madrid.
