Bournemouth are willing to consider selling England midfielder Alex Scott in the January transfer window for a fee in excess of £80 million, Sky Sports News has reported.
Scott, 23, has repeatedly declined offers to sign a new contract at the south coast club, and that stance has prompted a shift in the club's previously firm position against selling him.
"If a big offer came in for him in January, it is something the club would have to consider," Sky Sports News reported. Scott is not expected to push for a move publicly, but is described as ambitious and eager to explore options at a higher level.
Chelsea and Liverpool are both said to retain serious interest in the midfielder. Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham had also monitored Scott previously, but moved on to other midfield targets during the summer after Bournemouth insisted he was not available.
Scott has continued to develop at Bournemouth since coming through the club's academy, establishing himself as one of the more sought-after young midfielders in the Premier League.
