Chelsea travel to Merseyside on Saturday for their first away fixture of the season in any competition, facing an Everton side that sits above them in the Premier League table on goal difference.

Both clubs head into the match level on 10 points after six league games, with Everton unbeaten in their last six Premier League fixtures and one of only three teams yet to lose in the division this season.

Chelsea are bidding to win back-to-back league games for the first time since the opening two fixtures of the campaign. The Blues have scored 15 Premier League goals in six matches but are without a clean sheet in their last 22 league outings.

Joao Pedro leads all Premier League players for goal involvements this season with eight, scoring five and assisting three. Morgan Rogers has been directly involved in six goals and seven assists across all competitions since the start of May.

The head-to-head record at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium makes difficult reading for Chelsea: the Toffees have won six of their last nine home league meetings, with Chelsea failing to score in seven of those games including the last three. Chelsea lost 3-0 there in March in the corresponding fixture.

Everton manager David Moyes has a career record of eight wins, 14 draws and 29 defeats against Chelsea across all club management roles.

Milestone watch: Malo Gusto is set for his 100th Chelsea start, Joao Pedro his 50th, and Romeo Lavia is one appearance away from 49 in Blue if all three feature on Saturday. Referee Paul Tierney takes charge of his first Chelsea match of the current season.
