Mateo Kovačić made his 100th appearance for Manchester City in Friday night's Premier League trip to Crystal Palace, becoming only the 227th player in the club's 132-year history to reach the milestone.
The 32-year-old midfielder entered the match at Selhurst Park as a 75th-minute substitute, replacing fellow Croatian Joško Gvardiol.
Across his 100 appearances, Kovačić has scored 10 goals and contributed to six major honours — one each in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
Kovačić joined City from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, having previously represented Real Madrid and Inter. In his debut season, he played 46 times as City claimed a record fourth successive Premier League title alongside the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
He followed that with seven goals in 42 outings in 2024/25, though an ankle injury disrupted a significant portion of the campaign. He returned late in the season to help the club secure the FA Cup and Champions League qualification.
Now into his fourth season at the Etihad Stadium, Kovačić will look to play a key role under manager Enzo Maresca.
