Everton beat Dundee 4-0 at Dens Park on Thursday in their first pre-season fixture, with goals from Beto, Thierno Barry, Harvey Foster and Dwight McNeil.
Beto broke the deadlock shortly before half-time, receiving a pass from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on the edge of the area, turning his marker and seeing a deflected shot beat goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara.
Barry doubled the lead on 69 minutes after substitute keeper Harry Sharp dallied in possession. The French striker closed down Sharp, blocked his pass and watched the ball spin into an empty net.
Nineteen-year-old midfielder Foster made it 3-0 with six minutes remaining, collecting Sharp's clearance and finishing first-time from the edge of the area. McNeil completed the scoring in the closing moments, converting a square ball from Charly Alcaraz after Malik Olayiwola had intercepted another Sharp clearance.
David Moyes used the match to distribute minutes across his squad, making four changes at half-time and a further seven on the hour mark. Academy players Eli Campbell, George Finney, Will Tamen, Foster, Olayiwola and Braiden Graham all featured in the second half.
Everton's next pre-season fixture is away to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday 25 July, kick-off 3pm BST.
