Chelsea return to Premier League action at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, hosting Bournemouth in the sixth round of the season. The Blues sit tenth in the table, eight points behind leaders Manchester City, while Bournemouth are 17th with three points from five draws.
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League meetings with Bournemouth, recording four wins and five draws. The run stretches back to a 2-2 draw in February 2020, with each of the last three encounters finishing level — including a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on 30 December 2025, when Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez scored for the Blues.
Cole Palmer needs just one more Premier League goal to reach 50 for Chelsea in 101 appearances. Only Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (84 games) and Diego Costa (85) have reached that milestone for the club in fewer matches.
Moises Caicedo could reach 150 Chelsea appearances in Saturday's fixture, while Malo Gusto stands on the verge of 100 starts for the club.
Sixteen-year-old Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli made history in Chelsea's previous outing at Brentford, becoming the first player born in 2010 to appear in the Premier League and the first 16-year-old to feature for Chelsea in the competition. He is the ninth 16-year-old to play for the club, aged 16 years and 255 days.
Pedro Neto recorded the highest speed clocked by a Chelsea player this season — 35.26 km/h against Brighton on 30 August — ranking sixth-fastest in the division. Liverpool's Bradley Barcola leads the overall standings at 35.93 km/h.
Bournemouth arrive having dropped points from winning positions nine times this season. They led in each of their first four Premier League matches without winning any, and are winless in their last seven league games, with five draws and two defeats. However, the Cherries have lost just one of their last 13 league matches played in London.
Nine Bournemouth players have started every Premier League game this season: Evanilson, James Hill, Djordje Petrovic, Rayan, Alex Scott, Antonio Silva, Adam Smith, Marcus Tavernier and Adrien Truffert.
Saturday's match will be refereed by Sam Barrott, who takes charge of his first Chelsea fixture of the current season. His two Chelsea assignments last term included the corresponding fixture against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge in December and Chelsea's 3-0 defeat at Everton in March.
