Chelsea have sent 20-year-old defender Kaiden Wilson to EFL side Rochdale on a season-long loan. The move marks Wilson's first venture into senior football after a productive campaign with Chelsea's Under-21 side.
Wilson joined Chelsea from grassroots football at Under-14 level and has progressed through the club's Academy. Earlier this year he signed a contract extension keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2030.
The defender received his first senior exposure when he was named as an unused substitute in Chelsea's UEFA Conference League away match against Astana in December 2024.
Wilson will spend the 2026-27 season at Rochdale's Spotland ground as he looks to gain regular first-team experience at senior level.
