Alisson eyes Liverpool clean sheet record vs Newcastle

Alisson Becker is one shutout away from moving into sole fourth place on Liverpool's all-time clean sheet list, with Sunday's Premier League opener at Newcastle United providing the opportunity.

A clean sheet at St. James' Park would be the Brazilian goalkeeper's 138th for the club, lifting him one clear of Elisha Scott. Only Ray Clemence (323), Bruce Grobbelaar (267) and Pepe Reina (177) have recorded more clean sheets in Liverpool colours.

Three outfield players are also approaching appearance milestones ahead of the Tyneside fixture. Harvey Elliott needs just one more outing to reach 150 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, while Florian Wirtz is set to bring up his 50th game for the club.

A Premier League appearance for Ryan Gravenberch at Newcastle would be his 100th in the competition.
