Rayan Ait-Nouri netted his first goal for Manchester City in Wednesday's 3-1 pre-season victory over K-League All Stars in Seoul, and said he is determined to become a more consistent goalscorer.
The Algerian left-back latched onto Tijjani Reijnders' low cross to curl home a right-footed effort nine minutes into the match at Seoul's World Cup Stadium, where temperatures at kick-off reached 36 degrees Celsius.
"It was my first goal for City and it's a part of the game I really enjoy," Ait-Nouri said. "I have always tried to play in an attacking way, but I don't score all the time. It's a real sensation for me and I want to learn every day, work more and more to add as much to my game as I can."
When asked whether scoring more regularly is a priority, he was direct. "I would like to," he said.
The win was City's first under head coach Enzo Maresca in his second pre-season fixture, following a draw with Inter the previous week. Ait-Nouri acknowledged the difficult conditions but welcomed the experience.
"To be honest, it was a tough game because the conditions were so different to Europe," he said. "The weather was very hot but it was a great experience to play in a famous stadium in front of our Korean fans."
City close out their 2026 Asia Tour on Sunday 9 August against Atletico Madrid in the same stadium. Ait-Nouri pointed to the match as useful preparation ahead of the competitive season opener against Arsenal.
"We really enjoy playing this kind of game against one of the better teams in Europe," he said. "We know about Atletico's level and it will be good to play them before we face Arsenal next week."
