Bukayo Saka scored a late penalty and drew level with Arsenal legend Robert Pires on 84 club goals as Arsenal beat Sunderland 2-0 away on Saturday night.
The result capped a week in which Arsenal also beat Chelsea at Emirates Stadium and won 1-0 at Napoli in their Champions League opener — three victories in seven days.
"This is a really, really big win. I enjoyed it a lot - it was tough, but a big moment with David, big moment with Bruno that really changed the game and helped us win," Saka said after the match. "The goal was amazing. The way it went in, I enjoyed it, the celebrations, everything. It was a massive moment, a great moment for him, and he deserves it - he's a top guy."
Saka's injury-time spot-kick was his third goal of the season and his 84th overall for the club, matching former Arsenal No. 7 Robert Pires.
"I enjoy hearing those milestones, so I'm happy! I was pleased to get that goal at the end, I'm very happy!" he said.
The winger also highlighted the collective effort across a gruelling schedule that included significant travel. "It's been a massive week for us, there has been a lot of travelling, people don't understand behind the scenes how it's been, but I'm really happy with how we've managed this and to get three wins, three tough, tough games - it's amazing for us, so credit to the team, the staff, all of us. We need to keep going - it doesn't stop."
The Sunderland trip came just 72 hours after the Napoli fixture in Italy. Saka credited substitute contributions — including a key involvement from Bruno — as central to the victory.
