Liverpool failed to find a winner at Anfield on Saturday, held to a goalless draw by Fulham in a Premier League fixture that saw the Reds miss a string of late chances.

Victor Munoz came closest for Liverpool in the first half, heading a Dominik Szoboszlai corner against the crossbar. Andoni Iraola remains unbeaten as Liverpool head coach, but his side have now drawn three of their four top-flight matches this season.

Iraola made three changes from Wednesday's win against Atletico Madrid, handing starts to Munoz, Ryan Gravenberch and Kostas Tsimikas. Bradley Barcola was fit enough to start, while Cody Gakpo returned from the bench after missing the midweek tie.

The opening 20 minutes were end-to-end but lacked quality. Alexander Isak shot wide from a tight angle early on, while at the other end Jeremy Jacquet made a goalline clearance to deny Gonzalo Garcia after Alisson Becker had played Gravenberch into trouble inside the Liverpool penalty area.

Josh King had two attempts for Fulham before Antonee Robinson headed wide, though Barcola's back-post volley — blocked by Timothy Castagne — was the last clear effort of the first half.

Liverpool re-emerged with greater urgency after the break. Isak had a low shot saved, and Szoboszlai saw a powerful effort repelled by Bernd Leno after linking up with substitute Alexis Mac Allister. Jeremie Frimpong and Rio Ngumoha were introduced for the closing stages.

In stoppage time, Isak glanced a corner wide before Ngumoha sent Frimpong's cross over the bar. Fulham's King was thwarted by Alisson at the other end, and the points were shared.

Attendance at Anfield was 60,160.
