Chelsea dropped two points at Stamford Bridge on Friday, drawing 2-2 with Hull City in a match that saw the home side twice fall behind before equalising late through Joao Pedro.

Morgan Rogers gave Chelsea the lead inside seven minutes, finishing at the near post after collecting a pass from Joao Pedro. The advantage proved short-lived, however, as Hull struck twice in six minutes before half-time through Mohamed Belloumi to lead 2-1 at the break.

Belloumi's first came when full-back Ryan Giles hooked the ball into the Chelsea area and Hato misjudged the flight, leaving the Hull striker to power home. The second arrived from a corner, with a Semi Ajayi header striking the crossbar before the rebound fell to McBurnie, who teed up Belloumi for a deflected finish.

Chelsea pulled level on 66 minutes when Cole Palmer drove to the byline and crossed low for Joao Pedro, who readjusted and drilled a left-footed finish into the roof of the net.

Xabi Alonso's side pressed for a winner in the final stages. Rogers had the best chance but fired too close to goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, while Palmer's free-kick in added time sailed over. Hull came close to snatching all three points when Mohamed-Ali Cho met a ball across the box, only for Emi Martinez to save.

The result leaves Chelsea fourth in the Premier League table with seven points from their opening four matches. Alonso's side next travel to Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium on Friday evening, kick-off at 8pm.
