Elliot Anderson has completed a move to Manchester City from Nottingham Forest, signing a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium. The 23-year-old midfielder arrives having helped England reach the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

"I'm over the moon. I can't wait to play for this Club. I'm really looking forward to it," Anderson said following the transfer.

"I think they're winners, they're relentless, and that's the sort of team I want to be a part of – champions and people who win trophies. Over the last 10, 12 years, they've dominated, so that's why I wanted to join."

Anderson acknowledged he has further room for development despite his reputation as one of the most promising midfield talents in English football. "I'm only twenty-three, so I've got plenty of time to get to my best levels. I definitely think I'm not there yet and there's more to come from me," he added.

The midfielder described his playing style as one built around physicality, technical quality and selflessness. "I think I bring a bit of everything. I bring quality, I bring physicality, energy. I'll help the team out when we're in tough times," he said.

Anderson will work under manager Enzo Maresca at City, who have accumulated 20 major trophies over the past decade.
