Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has joined players across the Premier League to support this season's No Room For Racism campaign, which focuses on diversity in football and the collective responsibility to challenge discrimination.

Van Dijk features in a new player-led film tied to the campaign's dedicated match rounds, scheduled between October 17 and October 25. He also contributed to educational resources distributed through Premier League Primary Stars.

"It means a lot to me to represent my community on and off the pitch," Van Dijk said. "I'm proud of being part Surinamese, part Dutch, and it's a good feeling to always represent what you stand for."

"I think it's important for young people to see role models who look like them, to see that they can achieve anything. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do or how you look."

Liverpool's dedicated No Room For Racism fixture is at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday October 25. During campaign week, the club and LFC Foundation plan to showcase initiatives promoting inclusion and diversity.

October's campaign coincides with Black History Month, whose 2026 theme is 'Honouring Our Communities'. Liverpool FC and LFC Foundation run year-round programmes under the Red Together banner, which encourages fans to report incidents of racism and discriminatory abuse online or inside stadiums.
