Crystal Palace host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, looking to end a three-game losing run that has left them 18th in the table. They were beaten 2-0 at Tottenham last weekend, after Jean-Philippe Mateta was sent off after 13 minutes.
On Thursday, Daichi Kamada scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Pierre Sage's side drew 1-1 with Hoffenheim in the Europa League, again playing with 10 men. Palace have also beaten Middlesbrough and Fulham and face Sunderland in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals next month.
Sage described the fixture as a test for his squad. "It's a big challenge and it's maybe the opportunity to create something special for this group."
Mateta begins a three-match suspension and joins the injured Ismaila Sarr, Chadi Riad and Takehiro Tomiyasu as players unavailable to Sage.
Kamada, Yéremy Pino and Jorgen Strand Larsen are joint top scorers with four goals each. Adam Wharton leads the team for passes ending in the opposition half, with 242 in Premier League matches.
Palace won three of their four meetings with Liverpool last season. They beat the Reds 2-1 at home in the league, with a 97th-minute Eddie Nketiah goal.
Liverpool sit sixth with 15 points from nine matches.
