Tottenham snatched a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday after Dominic Solanke headed home in the 92nd minute to cancel out Bryan Mbeumo's opener for Manchester United — and did so with ten men.

Mbeumo had broken the deadlock in the 73rd minute, turning a Matheus Cunha pass and firing a low left-foot shot past Antonin Kinsky. The situation worsened when substitute Rodrigo Bentancur received a straight red card five minutes after coming on, adjudged by referee Stuart Attwell to have moved his head towards Luke Shaw during a confrontation.

Sandro Tonali clipped a ball into the area in the second minute of added time and Solanke, captain for the day for the first time in a Spurs shirt, glanced a header into the far corner past Lisandro Martinez to level the score at 1-1.

Tottenham had been the dominant side for much of the contest, creating a string of chances without converting. Mohammed Kudus, making his first league start since returning from injury, screwed wide from 15 yards in the 21st minute after a combination between Tonali, Destiny Udogie and Savio. Conor Gallagher was denied by goalkeeper Senne Lammens in first-half stoppage time after being played through by Solanke.

Roberto De Zerbi made six changes from the side that faced Aston Villa before the international break. Kinsky made a key stop to deny Mbeumo a second goal in the 86th minute, helping preserve the point.

The draw was Tottenham's first away league goal of the season. Attendance at Old Trafford was 74,129.
