David Moyes admitted Everton's last two performances have fallen below his standards after the Toffees' unbeaten start to the season ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.

Moyes had already expressed dissatisfaction following a 2-2 draw at Hull City the previous weekend, and he was again unimpressed on Saturday — particularly with Pedro Neto's goal scored just seconds after the restart, and with Everton's overall display after a promising opening half.

The Everton manager also weighed in on a challenge by Morgan Rogers on James Garner while the match was still goalless, with the England forward already on a yellow card at the time.

Moyes used the post-match address to spell out what he requires from his squad ahead of a difficult next fixture — an away trip to Premier League champions Arsenal.
