Maitland-Niles 96th-Min Strike Earns Everton 2-2 Draw

Ainsley Maitland-Niles marked his Everton debut with a stunning 96th-minute equaliser to salvage a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Hill Dickinson Stadium, extending the club's unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

The 25-yard first-time finish came just five days after Maitland-Niles joined from Chelsea, sending Everton to five points from three league games following an opening-day win over Crystal Palace and a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for United seconds after the interval, bending a low finish into the left-hand corner after drifting in from the right touchline. Benjamin Sesko then appeared to secure all three points for the visitors with an 87th-minute header from six yards, converting Luke Shaw's cross.

Everton twice refused to yield. Tyrique George struck on 83 minutes with an unstoppable finish into the top right-hand corner from a Hayden Hackney pass, registering his maiden Premier League goal for the club. Maitland-Niles then had the final say moments later, collecting a clearance 25 yards out and firing into the top left-hand corner.

Jack Grealish, another deadline-day arrival, came on at the 65-minute mark and set up Maitland-Niles' cameo, with the former Arsenal midfielder entering the pitch 10 minutes later. Brennan Johnson started for the first time in the league for Everton, while Merlin Röhl retained his place at right-back.

David Moyes' side had earlier gone close before the break, with Röhl's whipped cross from the right headed over the bar by Barry from eight yards, while referee John Brooks waved away an Everton penalty appeal for a challenge by Lisandro Martinez on Barry.
