Liverpool travel to Istanbul to face Fenerbahce on Wednesday in the Champions League, seeking to extend their 100 per cent start to the league phase. Kick-off is at 5.45pm GMT at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
The clubs have never met before, and Fenerbahce will be Liverpool's 140th different European opponent. The Reds have collected maximum points so far, with three wins from three league-phase games.
Liverpool have scored 12 goals in the competition this season, with only Paris Saint-Germain (14) netting more. In the domestic league, the side sit fifth in the table with 15 points from nine matches.
Fenerbahce will be led by former Liverpool player Dirk Kuyt, who was placed in interim charge last week. It is the fourth Turkish club the Reds have faced, following Trabzonspor, Galatasaray and Besiktas.
Liverpool have won only one of their away games against Turkish clubs, a 2-1 victory at Trabzonspor in 2010 in which Kuyt scored a late winner. All six of their defeats against Turkish opposition were by a one-goal margin.
