Alexander Isak is Liverpool's top Fantasy Premier League points scorer this season with 51 points, according to a Fantasy Football Scout guide to Gameweek 9 published on the club's website.
Liverpool head into Gameweek 9 full of confidence after a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the league, followed by a Carabao Cup penalty shootout victory against Chelsea. Isak, priced at £9.1m, has scored in each of his last three league starts and missed Gameweek 6 through injury.
Isak's nine-point return against Brighton was level with captain Virgil van Dijk (£6.4m) and bettered only by Ronald Araujo (£5.4m), who scored 10 points. The clean sheet against the Seagulls also produced strong returns for the defence. Jeremy Jacquet (£5.1m) registered eight points, while Alisson Becker (£5.5m) and Milos Kerkez (£5.3m) finished on six points each.
Defenders need 10 defensive actions in a single game to earn defensive contribution points. Van Dijk completed 13 defensive actions in Gameweek 8, while Araujo and Jacquet tallied 11 each. Van Dijk has registered 10 defensive contribution points this season, and only two defenders in the game have more.
Barelona loanee Araujo has quickly become a fan favourite at Anfield. He made 11 defensive actions against Brighton, including three tackles and eight clearances, and won every ground and aerial duel he contested. Since his first Premier League start in Gameweek 3, Liverpool have kept four clean sheets. Between Gameweek 3 and Gameweek 8, he averaged 5.3 points per start.
Aston Villa's Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) is the most-transferred-in player ahead of the Gameweek 9 deadline, after scoring twice in Villa's win over Manchester City. Bournemouth's Marcus Tavernier (£6.4m) is also popular, with more than 678,000 managers bringing him in after his goal against Manchester United in Gameweek 8.
The Gameweek 9 deadline is Saturday, October 31, at 11am GMT, ahead of the lunchtime fixture between Chelsea and Manchester United.
