Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola wants to see a reaction from his side against Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Reds travel to Selhurst Park after successive defeats to Arsenal and Fenerbahce.
Iraola acknowledged there will be ups and downs in his first season in charge. He is confident the team can get back on track before the November international break. Liverpool sit fifth in the Premier League with 15 points from nine matches, while Palace are 18th.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Iraola said: "Now we have to react after two defeats." He added: "We need the win against Palace away and we've been, I think, in similar situations."
The head coach also addressed the mood within the squad. "It's not easy in the moment because we react the same way. When we lose a game, everyone is angry," he said.
Palace are under Pierre Sage, who replaced Oliver Glasner this summer. On Thursday they scored a stoppage-time equaliser against Hoffenheim in the Europa League, despite playing the final quarter of an hour with 10 men.
Assessing Sunday's opponents, Iraola said: "I think it's a team that has good quality players inside." He pointed to the threat in the box from players such as Adam Wharton, Daichi Kamada, Yeremy Pino and Quinten Timber.
Iraola concluded: "So, we have to go there and do the job and win the game."
