Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi praised defender Tosin Adarabioyo and celebrated Dejan Kulusevski's comeback after a 3-1 Premier League win over Coventry City on Monday night.

Goals from James Maddison, Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies secured the three points at N17, with Maddison netting on his first start since 1 May 2025 and Kulusevski coming off the bench for his first appearance since 11 May 2025.

De Zerbi singled out Adarabioyo, who made his first Premier League start for the club alongside Micky van de Ven. "I'm happy for Tosin, because he deserves to play. He's great as a personality, as a behaviour, as a spirit. It's important, crucial in the dressing room," the Italian said.

On Kulusevski's return, De Zerbi was equally emphatic. "He's a great guy, but he's an example for every one of us," he said. "I put him on the pitch, especially in the last part of the game, because I knew the fans wanted him on the pitch."

De Zerbi also paid tribute to the Spurs supporters. "They are fantastic with Kulusevski, with us — they suffered too much in the last two, three, four seasons, but they deserve to celebrate many, many wins."

The victory moves Tottenham to 9 points from 7 league matches, having sat 16th in the table before kick-off.
