Manchester City host Brighton at the Etihad on Saturday in a Premier League match with a 15:00 UK kick-off. City remain top of the table with 21 points from eight games, ahead of Arsenal on goal difference, despite a defeat at Aston Villa last week that ended their unbeaten start to the season.
Brighton are third with 16 points from eight games. They won their last four league matches before losing at Liverpool, and then drew 2-2 with City in the League Cup on Wednesday.
The teams are likely to look different from that cup meeting. City made nine changes for that game and Brighton made seven, so both managers have options to rotate.
Brighton's head coach Fabian Hürzeler is 33 and has already been in charge for almost four years. He led St Pauli to promotion to the Bundesliga before joining Brighton in the summer of 2023, and he has won 35 of his 84 Premier League games.
Brighton usually line up in a 4-2-3-1 but move fluidly, with Bart Verbruggen in goal and Lewis Dunk as club captain at the heart of the defence. Charalampos Kostoulas is their first-choice striker.
Brighton have scored 23 league goals this season and City have scored 20, the most of any teams in the division. City have beaten Brighton 12 times in their first 14 league meetings, but Brighton have won three of the matches since then and drawn three.
