Chelsea travel to Sunderland on Sunday looking to make it back-to-back Premier League victories. The Blues sit fourth with 16 points from nine matches, while the Black Cats are bottom with five points.

Chelsea moved into the top four with their win over Manchester United in matchweek nine. Sunderland have won only one league game this season, against Fulham in August, and have lost five of their past six Premier League matches.

Chelsea last won at the Stadium of Light in December 2016, when a Cesc Fabregas goal just before half-time earned a 1-0 win. Last season's final-day defeat there was only their second in 14 Premier League visits, where they have recorded 10 wins and two draws.

Sunderland have failed to score at home more often than any other Premier League side in 2026, and they have not scored at the Stadium of Light in their last three home matches. Omar Alderete is suspended after his red card against Coventry City. Jarred Gillett will referee the fixture.
