Xabi Alonso has made three changes to his Chelsea starting lineup for Saturday's Premier League home fixture against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues returning to action after a three-week international break.

Moises Caicedo makes his first start of the season having recovered from injury, and is set to partner Jordan Henderson in central midfield — Henderson's first appearance at Stamford Bridge.

Emi Martinez starts in goal behind a back four of Josh Acheampong, Maxence Lacroix, Levi Colwill and Pep Chavarria. Cole Palmer, who recently signed a new contract running until 2034, starts in attack alongside Morgan Rogers, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro. Joao Pedro returns to the XI after missing the previous trip to Brentford.

Bournemouth arrive at Stamford Bridge still without a Premier League win this season. Chelsea, for their part, are looking to return to winning form after the break.

Chelsea XI: Martinez; Acheampong, Lacroix, Colwill (c), Chavarria; Henderson, Caicedo; Neto, Palmer, Rogers; Joao Pedro.

Substitutes: Penders, Fofana, Gusto, Hato, Palestra, Lavia, Estevao, Quenda, Welbeck.
