Chelsea name lineup for Carabao Cup tie at Liverpool

Xabi Alonso has made four changes to his Chelsea side for the Carabao Cup fourth round tie at Anfield against Liverpool on Wednesday evening.

Mike Penders starts in goal behind a back four of Josh Acheampong, Maxence Lacroix, Wesley Fofana and Malo Gusto, who makes his 100th start for the club. Romeo Lavia, Jordan Henderson and Moises Caicedo form the midfield, with Caicedo captaining the side.

Danny Welbeck leads the attack, supported by Pedro Neto and Morgan Rogers. Emmanuel Emegha is named among the substitutes and could make his Chelsea debut if introduced.

Liverpool have made seven changes from the side that beat Brighton 2-0 on Sunday, with Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo among those retained in the starting eleven.
