Arsenal head into their Premier League clash against Leeds United with an outstanding record at Emirates Stadium following international breaks, having won eight of their last nine home fixtures in such fixtures and scoring 25 goals in the process.

Since Mikel Arteta took charge in December 2019, Arsenal have lost only once at home after an international break — a defeat to Liverpool in April 2021. That sequence includes recent wins over Nottingham Forest, Fulham, and Tottenham Hotspur.

The wider run stretches back even further. Arsenal have lost just once in their last 21 home games immediately following international breaks, a streak dating to November 2014. Across those 21 matches, they have won 17, drawn three and lost one, accumulating 54 points at a rate of 2.57 per game — the best record among Premier League clubs present in the division for more than two seasons since 2015/16.

Since the start of the 2022/23 season, Arsenal have lost only twice in the Premier League after an international break, both to Bournemouth — in October 2024 and April 2026. They have won 10 times in that period, including three victories over Tottenham, and taken draws away at Chelsea and Manchester City.

Arsenal beat their upcoming opponents Leeds United 5-0 last August, with Viktor Gyokeres scoring twice. After the November international break, Arsenal travel to Newcastle United at St James' Park on November 21, before a trip to Coventry City's CBS Arena on April 10, 2027 concludes the post-break fixture sequence for the 2026/27 campaign.

The 2026/27 season features only three international breaks, reduced from four the previous year. Arsenal's last extended break came between September and October, with further pauses scheduled in November and across March and April.
