Xabi Alonso has named his Chelsea side to face Everton at Goodison Park, making a single enforced change from the team that beat Bournemouth 5-1 last weekend.
Jorrel Hato comes in for Pep Chavarria, who picked up a minor problem in training. "[Pep had] a little problem yesterday; we are not certain of the situation yet because it was late. Jorrel is fit and has played there, so it's just that change," Alonso said.
Moises Caicedo captains the side in central midfield alongside Jordan Henderson, who scored twice against Bournemouth. Alonso is backing the partnership to deliver again against an Everton side unbeaten in the Premier League this season.
"It was a good first day with them playing together in the middle; they gave balance, personality and stability to the rest of the team," the Chelsea head coach said. "They mix very well in terms of qualities and personalities, so that's very important for any team."
Alonso insisted the focus is on maintaining the standards that produced last weekend's result. "We needed a win [last weekend] and now we need to keep going, repeat the right things, and always improve game by game," he said.
Chelsea sit fourth in the Premier League with 13 points from seven games heading into the fixture.
