Brazilian winger Allan will wear the number 37 shirt at Manchester City after joining the club from Palmeiras earlier this week.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium and arrives with a reputation as one of Brazil's most promising young talents.

Allan's signing is part of a busy summer for City, who have also brought in Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga, Gerónimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Iliman Ndiaye and Enzo Fernández to bolster Enzo Maresca's squad.

The No. 37 shirt was previously worn by fellow Brazilian Kayky during the 2021/22 season. Before that, it had been carried by Gunnar Nielsen, Shay Given, Kelvin Etuhu, Paul Dickov, Terry Dunfield and Robert Taylor.
