Omar Marmoush is in line to make his Tottenham debut on Saturday when Spurs host Newcastle in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (5.30pm UK), manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed.
The Egypt international joined Tottenham on Thursday on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.
"Marmoush is available to play, maybe also at the beginning of the game," De Zerbi said at his pre-match press conference.
When asked about Marmoush's best position, De Zerbi outlined several options. "I think he can play centre striker, number 10, a different number 10 than Gallagher, Maddison, more attacking, but he is a player of big qualities. The most important is to have players with qualities."
Marmoush could line up alongside fellow recent arrival Sávio, with both players potentially making their Premier League debuts for the club in the same fixture at N17.
