Tottenham winger Mikey Moore scored twice in the second half as Spurs beat Hoffenheim 3-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, with Richarlison having opened the scoring in the first half.

The 19-year-old, returning to action for the first time since May 2025 after a season-long loan spell at Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, combined with Mathys Tel for both goals in front of almost 55,000 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Moore first lost defender Tristan Spranger to convert Tel's cross, then controlled a second pass from the French forward before finishing low past goalkeeper Oliver Baumann. Hoffenheim finished fifth in the Bundesliga last season.

"It felt really good to be back out there in this unbelievable stadium, playing with the boys again and to score two was a nice feeling," Moore said. "It was my first one in professional football, obviously it's pre-season, but yeah, it felt really good."

Moore described his sharpness as building steadily after the summer break. "We've had a long break and now physically it's starting to feel better, technically as well. I think I'm building my way into it. I showed a lot more today and I thought I did quite well, so hopefully I can build on that."

The teenager also spoke about the demands of working under head coach Roberto De Zerbi. "He's very, very intense, clear in all of his ideas and he makes sure that we all know that. He won't give you a second to be sloppy on the ball or off the ball."

"I'm learning a lot from that, where I know that I can't switch off on my touch," Moore added. "You're not going to get away with it. He's been unbelievable."
