Manchester City meet Arsenal in the 2026/27 FA Community Shield at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday, 16 August, with kick-off set for 15:00 UK time.

The match pits Premier League champions City against FA Cup winners Arsenal in the traditional season curtain-raiser. It will also mark Enzo Maresca's first competitive game as City manager.

The fixture will be broadcast live on TNT Sports in the United Kingdom.

Maresca is scheduled to face the media on Friday, 14 August from 13:30 ahead of the showdown.

Opposing manager Mikel Arteta guided Arsenal to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season. The Spaniard has been in charge at the Emirates since 2019, having previously served as a coaching assistant at Manchester City.

The two clubs last met in March 2026, when City secured a 2-1 Premier League victory at the Etihad Stadium. Rayan Cherki opened the scoring on 16 minutes before Kai Havertz equalised two minutes later by charging down a Gianluigi Donnarumma clearance. Erling Haaland then scored the winner on 66 minutes, turning home a pass from Nico O'Reilly.

That result followed City's 2-0 defeat of Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley three weeks earlier.
