John Stones joins Inter Milan on two-year deal after leaving Manchester City

John Stones has signed for Inter Milan on a two-year contract after his deal at Manchester City expired this summer. The 32-year-old defender moves to the San Siro to link up with Serie A champions under head coach Cristian Chivu.

Stones made 295 appearances for City over a decade at the club, scoring 19 goals and collecting 20 major trophies. He departs as one of the most decorated players in the club's history.

During his time at City, the England international won six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, three FA Cups, five Carabao Cups, three Community Shields, a FIFA Club World Cup and a UEFA Super Cup.

Inter Milan were crowned Serie A champions last season ahead of Stones's arrival. City and Inter are scheduled to meet in a pre-season friendly in Hong Kong on 1 August.
