Manchester City will bring eleven academy players on their 2026 pre-season tour of Asia, with matches scheduled against Inter Milan in Hong Kong and K-League All Stars and Atletico Madrid in South Korea. Several senior players are absent after deep runs at the World Cup, increasing opportunities for younger squad members.
Stephen Mfuni, 18, is a left-footed centre-back or left-back who joined City at Under-9 level. He made his competitive senior debut in January 2026 in a 10-1 FA Cup win over Exeter City, becoming Pep Guardiola's final academy debutant before the coach's departure. Mfuni subsequently joined Watford on loan and made eight Championship appearances before injury cut his spell short.
Ryan McAidoo, 18, is a winger who moved to City from Chelsea in August 2024. He scored on his senior debut in the same 10-1 FA Cup win over Exeter in January 2026, having previously impressed consistently for City's Under-18s and Elite Development Squad.
Kaden Braithwaite, 18, is a versatile left-footed defender who can also operate as a holding midfielder. He became the club's third-youngest player to make a full debut when he featured in a 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Watford in September 2024, aged 16 years and 229 days.
Divine Mukasa, 18, is an attacking midfielder who joined City from West Ham in September 2023. He assisted Phil Foden in a 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield before spending the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Championship side Leicester City, where he made 15 league appearances. Mukasa signed a new contract with City extending his stay until 2030.
Divin Mubama, 21, is a striker who made 18 senior appearances for West Ham across the Premier League, domestic cups, Europa League and Conference League before joining City. He scored on his City debut in an 8-0 FA Cup win over Salford in January 2025, then spent 2025/26 on loan at Stoke, scoring five goals in 26 appearances before injury ended his season early.
Floyd Samba, 17, is a midfielder whose only previous first-team involvement was a place on the bench for City's 2-0 FA Cup win over Salford. The Asia tour will be his first experience of first-team football.
Mamad Sangare, 19, is a France youth international forward who previously developed at Racing Club de France, Montrouge FC 92 and PSG. He scored 15 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions in his debut season with City's academy and the Asia tour will represent his first senior experience.
Jaden Heskey, 20, is a midfielder who made his first senior appearance during City's 2024 pre-season tour. He received his first competitive debut as a substitute in City's 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield Town in September 2025, appearing alongside his younger brother Reigan. He then joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan in January, making 20 appearances.
Matty Henderson-Hall, 19, is a full-back or winger who has trained with the first team on occasion. The Asia tour will mark his first extended period fully integrated with the senior squad.
Xavier Parker, 16, is the youngest player on tour. The midfielder can operate as a number ten, eight, or in an attacking role and has no previous senior experience.
Jack Wint, 19, is a goalkeeper who has trained with the first team during 2025/26 but has not yet appeared in a senior match. Jeremy Monga, 17, is a winger who made his Premier League debut for Leicester City in April 2025, becoming the second-youngest player to receive minutes in the English top flight. He made seven league appearances in 2024/25 and played 27 times for Leicester in the Championship last season before joining City.
City open their tour against Inter Milan in Hong Kong on 1 August at 12:30 UK time, before facing K-League All Stars in Seoul on 5 August and Atletico Madrid on 9 August, both at 12:00 UK time. All three matches are available on City+ for £34.99 annually or £9.99 per month.
