Arsenal have secured Callan Hamill on his first professional contract ahead of the 2026/27 season. The Scottish right back joined the club from St Johnstone at the start of last season and has since established himself in Arsenal's academy setup.
"I'm really delighted to get it over the line and just really looking forward to what's coming next," Hamill said. "I moved away from home last year and joined Arsenal last season and had a really good season last season. So, it's been a good year so far, so looking forward to kicking on."
Hamill made 38 appearances across academy competitions during his debut season, including the FA Youth Cup, UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2. He also wore the captain's armband on a number of occasions.
"I think I made a good impression," Hamill said. "Playing a lot of games. I was really happy with last season. Hopefully, I can have a good season this season."
The defender, who cites former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka as a role model, made four appearances for Scotland's under-17s during the same period. He has also trained with Arsenal's first-team squad and described the experience as beneficial to his development.
"I got a few chances to work with them, and they were really good at giving you tips and pointers on what to work on," Hamill said. "Taking advice from the best can only help you get better as well."
Hamill joined Arsenal from Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone prior to the 2025/26 campaign.
